The Art of Perception – FREE
The Art of Perception – FREE
Human Race is delighted to offer this fantastic opportunity of a FREE full-day Aikido and drawing workshop lead by Dean Melville and Brian Macbeath.
Aikido is a Japanese martial art which uses the principle of mind and body unification in order to achieve a peaceful resolution of conflict.
It does not rely on physical strength to overpower or defeat an opponent but seeks to develop responses that enable us to move our opponents mind and by doing so engineer a situation where we can bring about a peaceful resolution.
These principles can help us in all aspects of our life and done more so than in art. In painting and drawing the resolving of conflicting elements and bringing them into balance is of primary importance. An understanding of Aikido could bring a new perspective to your drawing that would be very beneficial.
The workshop is FREE but places are limited and must be booked in advance through the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery (details below)
