RHYME, RHYTHM AND RAP WITH BRIAN MOSES
FREE- P3 – P6 poetry show. Join top children’s poet Brian Moses hot from his show at Edinburgh Book Festival as he brings words to life with his spectacular poetry and percussion show. Have fun in an exhilarating exploration of the different forms of rhythm and rhyme. There will be musical instruments and some movement too, so come in good voice and bring your dancing shoes! MAKING MOVIES ANIMATION WORKSHOP
FREE – This is an animation workshop for upper primary school classes (P5 –P7) to learn how to make an animated films and the different techniques. Pupils will work with award winning animators from Red Kite Animations to make short films on the themes of the Human Race exhibition. FAST FLIERS AND HIGH JUMPERS
FREE – Represent the movement of some of the worlds ‘super’ animals in this fun ‘hands on’ art workshop. The movement of animals will be represented in eco art sculptures using a range of colourful media to ignite the imagination. The workshop will explore the differences in movement between humans and animals and explore evolution and adaptation. With artist Stephanie Walker.

FREE – Come along and join the award-winning poet Kona Macphee for an hour of informal chat and poetry reading. During this talk Kona will read and discuss the inspiration behind her collection of new poems created for the Human Race exhibition.

FREE – Join the artist Beverley Hood for an entertaining hour of chat and an opportunity to step into the digital shoes of the on-screen dancer. During this hour long talk artist Beverley will discuss ‘glitching’, her new digital dance performance and interactive instillation created for the Human Race exhibition.

FREE -Human Race invite you to a special screening of the wonderful British Classic ‘Chariots of Fire’. Popcorn, soda and dressing-up clothes provided!

Using the themes of the Human Race exhibition, you’ll bring puppets and objects to life with cameras and computers.
